Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Doctoral Candidate in Depth Psychology. My specialty for the last 10 years has been in dual diagnosis, working with clients who struggle with both addiction and mental health disorders ranging from mood disorder to personality disorder, working to manage their symptoms. I typically see symptoms begin to resolve in working with clients after working weekly together in the first month.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we review the intake together and have an opportunity to begin to develop your treatment plan. Every successful journey begins with a plan. You and I discuss what your plan is for your recovery, and what your goals are in addition to what your recovery can look like based on the intake information that has been provided. Developing short-term and long-term goals together keeps our therapy within a focused framework moving forward, but also each session has the fluidity you need based on your defined goals outlined at the beginning of this first session. Your treatment plan is evolving and updated regularly.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have spent the last 10 years in various roles in my career from therapist to leadership positions that have allowed me to know the importance of quality of care, measureable care, and care that is rooted in safety and progress.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

In the last 7 years of practice, I have used a humanistic approach to therapy, which is a holistic method focusing on a relational way of interaction, a warm empathic relationship, the encouragement of positive self-regard, self-growth, and self-determination.

Eclectic

Throughout my career since 2014 and practicing as a licensed clinician since 2017, I have found it most effective to draw from the various types of therapeutic approaches depending on your needs. There is not a "one fits all". approach. My training in psychodynamic, Gestalt, solution-focused, attachment-based, DBT, then holisitic methods including dream-tending, and art therapy influence my work with you. You are in the driver seat and determine what will work for you based on our partnership together to meet your needs.
