I am a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of combined clinical experience, providing care across the lifespan. My approach is grounded in treating every individual with dignity, respect, and compassion, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique and requires personalized care rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. I am committed to partnering with my patients in a supportive and collaborative way to promote optimal mental health and overall well-being. My practice is guided by both holistic principles and evidence-based treatment, ensuring care that is thoughtful, comprehensive, and tailored to individual needs. I strive to create a safe, stigma-free, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to heal and grow at their own pace. I provide treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, ADHD, and substance use disorders, among others. Services include medication management and psychotherapy when appropriate. My ultimate goal is to help each patient improve daily functioning, build resilience, recognize and celebrate meaningful progress, no matter how small the steps may seem along the way.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We prioritize your mental and emotional well-being by offering compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals who have felt unheard, overwhelmed, or challenged by life’s circumstances. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. Your initial visit is focused on understanding you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. We begin by building trust and getting to know your concerns, history, and current challenges. This includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we explore emotional, psychological, medical, and social factors that may be impacting your well-being. Together, we work to identify possible root causes of your symptoms and develop a clear understanding of what you are experiencing. You can expect a calm, conversational approach where your voice is heard and respected. There is no pressure to “have everything figured out.” This is a space for clarity, support, and guidance. We will also discuss your goals for treatment and what healing looks like for you personally. Following the assessment, we provide individualized recommendations which may include medication management, psychotherapy, or a combination of both, depending on your needs and preferences. If medication is appropriate, we will review options carefully, discuss benefits and potential side effects, and make decisions collaboratively. Our approach is holistic and evidence-based, meaning we consider your emotional health, lifestyle, and overall well-being in developing your treatment plan. We also focus on practical strategies to help you begin feeling better and functioning more effectively in daily life. Above all, we aim to ensure that you leave your first visit feeling understood, supported, and hopeful about your path forward. We are here to walk alongside you throughout your healing journey, providing consistent support, guidance, and care every step of the way. Call today to schedule your appointment and take the first step toward improved mental and emotional wellness.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My experience over the years working with clients from diverse cultural, social, and clinical backgrounds has strengthened my ability to recognize both the unique qualities that make each individual different and the shared human experiences that connect us all. This perspective allows me to provide care that is thoughtful, culturally sensitive, and truly individualized. I am deeply empathetic and attentive, with a strong commitment to listening beyond symptoms to understand the full picture of what each person is experiencing. I bring a strong foundation of clinical knowledge, which I continuously build upon through ongoing education and evidence-based practice. This allows me to provide up-to-date, effective treatment options tailored to each client’s needs. At the same time, I believe education is a powerful part of healing, and I take great joy in helping clients better understand their mental health, treatment options, and overall wellness journey. I am especially passionate about addressing mental health disparities and barriers to care. My goal is to ensure that every client, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to high-quality, respectful, and effective mental health support. I look forward to partnering with you, supporting your growth, and helping you navigate challenges with confidence, clarity, and compassionate care.
