Life can look completely fine on the outside while feeling exhausting on the inside. You may be carrying anxiety, trauma, people pleasing, self-doubt, or simply the weight of trying to hold everything together. If you're looking for a therapist who is genuine, down-to-earth, and willing to meet you where you are, you're in the right place.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if this is your first time. You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you're ready for a therapist who will listen, laugh with you when appropriate, challenge you gently, and help you make meaningful changes, I'd love to meet you.
Clients who come to me are strong, and often need a compassionate, listening ear of someone who "gets it." Perhaps you're someone who has never seen a therapist, or maybe you are a seasoned pro. Either way, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, develop healthier patterns, and move toward the life you want.
Welcome. I am here for you!
Starting counseling can feel like a big step, especially if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to turn. My role is to offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can pause, reflect, and begin to feel more grounded.
Counseling isn’t about having all the answers right away—it’s about creating room for growth, clarity, and meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), my mission is to guide individuals on a journey back to their innate wisdom, compassion, peace, and confidence. I often think of the story of Michelangelo, who described sculpting as the act of chipping away marble to reveal the beauty already within. This metaphor beautifully captures the counseling process: together, we identify and remove the barriers obscuring your true SELF, allowing your inner brilliance to shine through.
My approach is rooted in deep compassion for the human experience. I bring to our work a blend of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices, enriched by certifications in Mind-Body Bridging, Cognitively-Based Compassion Training, and Cultivating Emotional Balance. I draw from powerful therapeutic frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Compassionate Inquiry, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs.

Immediately, upon the end of graduate school, I began my experience with outpatient mental health therapy. Hello! So glad you are here! Do you get into relationships hoping that this time things will be different? Do you feel overwhelmed and have a hard time recognizing your dreams and goals? Would you like a more kind and loving relationship with yourself and the ability to extend that to others in your life? I love helping people who are ready to identify patterns that hold them back from happiness and fulfillment in both relationships and other areas of life.
My name is Lisa, and I provide therapy for both addictions and mental health issues. While I have treated those with active addiction for many years, I also treat behavior patterns stemming from addictions and family dysfunction. Although these patterns started out helping us survive challenging situations, they can keep us stuck. Many therapy seekers have found that these patterns can impact their ability to recognize their needs, dreams and to create and sustain both platonic and romantic relationships.
I have a Master of Education degree in Counselor Education from Southern Illinois University specializing in Substance Abuse. From substance abuse counseling, I have expanded my areas of specialties to include family and relationship dynamics and how to heal "survival skills" that have evolved into self-defeating life patterns.
Hey there!! I'm Sara.
Sometimes we just need someone to listen. We're all human, we all struggle, and despite what many think... that's what normal looks like. With me, you'll be in a safe, non-judgmental place to share whatever you feel led. I am very laid back and work at the pace you feel comfortable. I will strive to help you find the things inside of you that will help you overcome past struggles and allow you to grow. I believe that it's not my place to advise you on what you should do, but encourage you to make the changes that best fit your season of life.
Do you feel like you’ve lost the version of yourself that used to trust your own instincts? Are you exhausted from walking on eggshells?"
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) specializing in Trauma and PTSD, Narcissistic Abuse Recovery, and High-Conflict Relationships. Using a blend of Adlerian insight and CBT tools, I specialize in helping you exit 'survival mode' and reclaim your reality.
My background in treating complex trauma, chronic mental health, and co-occurring substance use allows me to see the full picture of your experience. By exploring the early patterns and survival scripts that may keep you feeling 'stuck,' I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to deconstruct gaslighting, process the unique grief of these relationships, and build unshakeable boundaries.
I am currently deepening my expertise with a specialized certification in Narcissistic Abuse Recovery to ensure you have the most effective, trauma-informed tools available to rebuild a life that is entirely yours.

I am a social worker with 25 years of experience supporting clients across the lifespan — from infants and their caregivers to older adults navigating later‑life challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that our thoughts are powerful drivers of our emotions and behaviors. When we learn to understand and reshape those thoughts, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
Using Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), I help clients harness the power of their thinking to influence how they feel and act in everyday situations. Many people have been taught to “just change their behavior,” and when that doesn’t work, they blame themselves. I guide clients toward a different approach — one that starts with the mind, not with willpower.
In our sessions, I use analogies, real‑life examples, and practical tools that clients can immediately apply. My goal is for every session to end with one new tool for their toolbox, something concrete they can practice between sessions. And while the work is meaningful, I believe it can also be engaging — even fun — as clients begin to see themselves and the world through a new, more empowering lens.
