My name is Ana Vasquez. I am a mother, wife, Latina, and psychotherapist. Through my personal life experience and professional training, I can support you in an individual or couples’ psychotherapy process as you navigate life’s challenges from a safe, nonjudgmental space with empathic listening. My main areas of expertise in psychotherapy include:
Attachment and Parenting:
As a mother, I know that pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood can activate our own childhood wounds. Motherhood involves a transformation of the self and of the way we relate to our partner, our own parents, our support networks, and friends. In psychotherapy, I will support you through this process and help you find balance between your role as a mother and as a professional.
Relationships and Family Challenges:
Through individual therapy, I can support you in understanding the generational patterns that have influenced your past and current relationship choices. I can help you identify the non-functional relationship patterns you may have repeated over time that have not contributed to choosing or creating a healthy partnership. I can also accompany you in the process of creating and sustaining a stable, long-term relationship from an emotionally healthy place.
Immigration:
Migrating to another country involves a major life change that impacts us internally and challenges us on many levels. Migration often requires adapting to a new culture, a new language, new ways of being in the world, and new social norms. In psychotherapy, I will accompany you through the multiple changes and personal adjustments that emerge during this process.

If you have seen the movie “Groundhog Day” starring Bill Murray as Phil, you would say it is a comedy. But it is more. He finally breaks out of his dull, repetitive life not by changing his surroundings or anyone else; he changes himself.

That is the purpose of counseling: to help you try something different, to change something about yourself, to help you become the best YOU. Whether you are in a tough spot or just have issues you want to address, I am here to help.

Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Illinois. I have worked in the mental health field for seventeen years in both hospital and outpatient settings. This experience includes work in direct patient care, program development, and in hospital administration in a clinical director role.
I also have taught coursework in psychology and human development in a university setting, and worked in an administrative capacity in secondary education in the state of Illinois. My educational background includes a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. My clinical approach brings behavioral intervention and education together in a clinical setting. I enjoy using psychoeducation as a foundation for treatment. That means I like to focus on educating the patient on their symptoms/diagnosis so we can collaborate on a treatment plan that they understand and makes sense for their life circumstance. If people understand why they experience the symptoms they have and how their body responds to stressors; it can give them the insight necessary to build skills to cope in a healthy and effective way.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with experience in both private practice and inpatient hospital settings. I enjoy building strong, positive relationships with my clients and using humor to help foster connection in session. I’m human too — I strive to be a relatable and approachable therapist, creating an open, collaborative, honest, and supportive space where you can be yourself without filtering.

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Illinois and Maine. I have experience working with clients in crisis with severe mental illness to adults experiencing depression and anxiety with chronic complex medical conditions.
Coping with life challenges is not something you have to go through alone. Many people seek therapy for support, information, and new ideas on how to better handle the curve balls that life can throw sometimes. I believe that human beings are incredibly resilient and sometimes need assistance in recognizing their own inner strength to create positive changes in their lives. The therapeutic relationship should be collaborative, built upon both mutual respect and independence, and I hope to empower my clients to find opportunities for personal growth so that they can move forward with their goals.
I have been a great support to those experiencing significant changes in their lives such as new medical diagnosis or crisis events.
Be proud of making this step forward toward your best self.
I look forward to working together!

Hello! So glad you are here! Do you get into relationships hoping that this time things will be different? Do you feel overwhelmed and have a hard time recognizing your dreams and goals? Would you like a more kind and loving relationship with yourself and the ability to extend that to others in your life? I love helping people who are ready to identify patterns that hold them back from happiness and fulfillment in both relationships and other areas of life.
My name is Lisa, and I provide therapy for both addictions and mental health issues. While I have treated those with active addiction for many years, I also treat behavior patterns stemming from addictions and family dysfunction. Although these patterns started out helping us survive challenging situations, they can keep us stuck. Many therapy seekers have found that these patterns can impact their ability to recognize their needs, dreams and to create and sustain both platonic and romantic relationships.
I have a Master of Education degree in Counselor Education from Southern Illinois University specializing in Substance Abuse. From substance abuse counseling, I have expanded my areas of specialties to include family and relationship dynamics and how to heal "survival skills" that have evolved into self-defeating life patterns.

Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor based in Chicago. I have a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I've been practicing for 5 years helping people improve their lives through mindful change and a supportive voice. I'm here to be your loudest cheerleader as you make necessary changes and work toward your life goals.
Hello! I started working in mental health outreach attending school full-time while attaining my graduate level courses. I've worked with those with Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, (C)PTSD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, ADHD, Adjustment Disorders, Family conflict, and also worked with the LGBTQ & Latinx communities. I've met so many wonderful people and knew I wanted to learn and meet more people to try and help guide people as much as I could, so I attained my LCPC to supervise other clinicians and help more in need.
Through a client-centered, feminist, and trauma-informed lens, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, empathic, and collaborative space for healing and growth. Therapy sessions will be designed based on your particular needs and your unique style of working, and are adjustable based on how you are doing the day of the session. Hi! My name is Jacqueline Lizarazo, and I go by Jackie. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in therapy for individuals, children, and couples, with a focus on grief, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and sexual abuse.
Why Choose Me:
I want you to read the following passages:
On Abuse: “I lived in a glass house into which my mother could look at any time. In a glass house, however, you cannot conceal anything without giving yourself away, except by hiding it under the ground. And then you cannot see it yourself, either.”
On Depression: “Trees aren’t supposed to display fruit; they’re supposed to produce it. As much as I wanted to see results, I knew that I had to wait. The tree had to become healthy and mature before it could produce the fruit, and that takes time.”
If what you read resonates with you, this is the type of therapy I offer. I push, and sometimes might make you cry—not to harm, but for growth. I deeply care about my patients and only want the best for you.
I am not judgmental; I am here to listen and provide feedback. I often ask myself the question: if I were sitting where you are, would I come back? And the answer is yes. I give homework, so don’t expect it to be easy unless we need it to be. I am flexible, and my schedule is pretty open to fit your needs.
We’re going to have days where we just catch up and talk about what happened that week but be prepared to talk about your past. I believe together we can grow into the person you want to be.
