New to Grow
After more than 25 years in behavioral health and human services, I continue to be inspired by partnering with adults as they navigate life’s transitions. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I have experience in acute and forensic psychiatry, behavioral health quality improvement, veteran services, and community-based care. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and the belief that meaningful change begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, caregiver stress, or a significant life transition, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward. I recognize that healing doesn’t always fit neatly into a traditional 9-to-5 schedule. I intentionally offer morning and evening telehealth appointments to support adults with a variety of work schedules, including overnight shift workers seeking support during daytime hours and professionals who prefer evening appointments after the workday. I believe therapy should fit into your life—not require you to rearrange your life to receive support. I provide outpatient psychotherapy for adults and work collaboratively with clients who are ready to engage in the therapeutic process. While I provide outpatient psychotherapy, I do not provide crisis stabilization or intensive outpatient services.
Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to feel uncertain or even a little nervous. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a comfortable, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. We'll spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and goals, but you are never expected to share more than you're comfortable sharing. Together, we'll begin identifying what's most important to you and develop a plan that reflects your needs, values, and pace. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported as we begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I look forward to partnering with you as you move toward meaningful and lasting change.
I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. My approach is compassionate and supportive while encouraging growth and meaningful change. I believe therapy should be a place where you can explore life's challenges openly, knowing you don't have to face them alone. You can expect me to listen with curiosity rather than make assumptions, ask thoughtful questions that deepen understanding, and offer honest feedback with kindness and respect. I value collaboration and believe the most meaningful progress happens when we work together to identify solutions that align with your values, strengths, and goals.
My ideal clients are adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, caregiver stress, career or relationship changes who are ready to actively engage in the therapeutic process. They are motivated to increase self-awareness, build resilience, and create meaningful change. I also welcome overnight shift workers and professionals seeking appointment times that fit their lives and unique schedules while fostering balance, confidence, and personal growth.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, recognizing that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences, thoughts, beliefs, values, and even the contradictions that naturally arise throughout life. Together, we create space for curiosity, reflection, and deeper self-understanding. Rather than telling clients what to do, I partner with them to build insight, recognize their strengths, and discover solutions that align with their values, goals, and unique life circumstances.
I incorporate Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore uncertainty and resolve the internal conflicts that often accompany change. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I ask thoughtful questions, listen with curiosity, and help them identify the values, strengths, and motivations that already exist within them. I believe lasting change is more meaningful when it comes from a person's own insight and commitment rather than external pressure.
