(she/her)
Hello, My name is Amy Pixler and I use she/her pronouns. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Southern California and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I graduated with my Masters in Counseling Psychology and have been practicing for 3 years. I enjoy helping clients with their journey through depression, anxiety, and stress to find skills that work best for them.
The first session together you can expect us to spend time getting to know each other and exploring what is bringing you to therapy. It is important to me in this session to learn more about you to understand how best to move forward in our sessions.
My communication style is calm, safe, and authentic. I want my clients to feel open talking with me and be invited to express themselves how they are most comfortable. In my experience I have enjoyed providing information to further empower clients to have a better understanding of themselves to live the life they desire.
I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adults who may be dealing with difficult life transitions that have resulted in anxiety, depression, and/or stress. I enjoy working with clients to build their skills to address these concerns and feel more empowered.
