Michelle Hoffman Ten Eyck
Hello! It’s very nice to meet you! My name is Michelle Hoffman Ten Eyck. I’m an LCSW who has practiced in New Jersey for over 23 years. I am driven to help people, wherever they are, in their journey. I work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, and other mood conditions.
I have done extensive work in individual practice, inpatient settings, emergency rooms, schools, correctional facilities, and as a psychiatric screener.
I have worked extensively with the chronically mentally ill population, and their families. I am a certified Screener for the State of New Jersey.
First session
In our first session, I would like to get to know you a bit, and find out what your goals are. I will ask some basic background questions, and discuss with you a plan for how we can work together, to get you closer to your goals.
Strengths
I have enjoyed working in a variety of settings, so from this, I have developed a gentle approach that makes others feel at ease. I have done extensive work in individual practice, inpatient settings, emergency rooms, schools, correctional facilities, and as a psychiatric screener. Because of the different experiences I have had as a clinician, I have learned to be flexible and open with my clients. I understand that everyone has a story, and a unique journey to travel. I would like to help others have the best experience possible on their journey.
Ideal clients
When we work together, I am most interested in helping you attain your goals. We will start wherever you would like to start. At times, I give you something to think about for the week, something that may help you move toward your goal. I ask questions and reframe things so that you can look at things through another lens.

I like to focus on each client's specific and individual needs. Everyone comes from different life circumstances, and has the potential for growth in their own specific ways. I think these differences should be celebrated and brought into sessions.
