My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This approach is grounded in goal oriented therapy that focuses on the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviors. The way we think about situations influences how we feel and act. I assist clients in collaboratively identifying specific issues (depression, anxiety, stress or something else) and developing strategies to challenge unhelpful thoughts, manage difficult emotions and behaviors and make practical changes in their lives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

This approach focuses on helping clients develop skills to better manage intense emotions while improving relationships. it is in part grounded in Mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, strengthening interpersonal relationships. One of my goals is to help clients live more fully and meaningful lives in the midst of emotional and behavioral challenges.

Psychodynamic

I utilize psychodynamic principals to focus on uncovering the influential role of a client's early life experiences in shaping their current thoughts feelings and behaviors. I assist clients in developing deeper self awareness and insights into how their formative relationships continue to impact them today.
