I am a nurse practitioner with 18 years of experience taking care of adult patients with multiple medical problems and people of all ages with psychiatric disorders. I have dual masters one in acute care and the other in psychiatric and mental health. I also have a doctorate of nursing practice in psychiatry. Currently, I am only taking care of patients with mental health problems aged from 10 years upwards.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The first session will be a time to get to know each other and mainly a time for me to learn about your struggles. This time will be used to answer any questions you might have regarding your care and also to freely discuss what issues brought you to me.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I assess, diagnose and treat patients with psychiatric disorders. I prescribe psychiatric medications as needed in addition to psychotherapy. I am also qualified to treat patients with substance abuse disorder who require medication-assisted treatment. I am available to do telehealth.
