In our first session, we will have brief introductions, then we will explore some of your background and history as well as what brings you into treatment at this time.
I have fifteen years of experience of working with a growth mindset. We will build on your personal strengths in order to develop your personal tool-kit to allow you to manage and navigate your life.
Successful therapy is built upon a comfortable, trusting, and working relationship. Every person and situation is unique and is treated accordingly. No "quick" fixes, rather implementing small changes in our thoughts, thought patterns and behaviors that will change our mood, perspective, and interactions. And, as a result, our quality of life. I look forward to working and supporting you as you build the skills to navigate your journey.
I use CBT techniques to help examine how are thoughts effect our feelings and behaviors, and sometimes a small shift in our thoughts can have a bigger impact in how we feel and act, thus changing our situation.
Focusing on the present moment and one major pressing issue at a time can help make improvements in our life and help navigate in the direction of our longterm life goals.
