My name is Yvonne Amune, MSN, PMHNP-BC, and I work as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in the greater Houston area. With over 8 years of experience in the healthcare field, I'm committed to offering the highest quality of care and helping my clients achieve their goals.
I'm privileged to understand culturally-conscious care, which has allowed me to help many families who have experienced trauma and cultural barriers.
My hope is that all who come to me will feel safe and supported in exploring mental health issues, so that they can reach a place where they feel more content with themselves and their lives.
First session
My clinical focus is on holistic and patient centered care for adults and adolescents, with special attention given to treating anxiety, depression, stress related disorders, as well as substance use disorder. Further, I am trained in motivational interviewing and CBT which I find to be effective tools in understanding and treating these issues. I believe in taking a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to helping my patients reach their goals. My practice emphasizes the importance of creating a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship to facilitate the process of healing.
