Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, self-defeating behaviors, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression or you desire a deeper understanding of your life experience, I am committed to seeing you find relief. I've been a therapist for over 20 years working with a wide range of concerns and backgrounds. My aim is to help you feel more settled within yourself, develop more fulfilling and satisfying relationships, and create purpose and meaning in your life. Through our time together, it's my sincere hope you will begin to experience the joy and satisfaction that you seek in your life. I use a variety of modalities including classic insight-oriented depth therapies, experiential therapies, cognitive-behavioral-based therapies, and IFS (Internal Family Systems). I work with adult individual adult men and women along with those in the LGBTQ community.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, collaborative space where we’ll get to know each other and begin exploring what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to understand your goals, your current struggles, and any important background you’d like to share. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story at once—we’ll go at your pace. My aim is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin this journey together.
My therapeutic style is relaxed, supportive, and conversational. At times we will work actively and collaboratively; at other times all you might need is an objective ear to listen. Because I am trained in depth-oriented therapies, my aim is to help you delve into the underlying causes of your emotional, mental, and physical symptoms. I am committed to helping you find the relief you are seeking. While pain in life is inevitable, suffering doesn't have to be.
I work best with those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Many of the people I work with are navigating life transitions, complex trauma, identity questions, or persistent patterns that no longer serve them. I hope that our work together can offer a grounded, compassionate space for exploration, insight, and change.
As a CBT therapist I've helped clients identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors to improve emotional well-being and achieve their goals through structured, evidence-based techniques.
Being an EMDR therapist means helping clients process and resolve traumatic memories by facilitating adaptive integration through bilateral stimulation and structured, phase-based interventions.
An ISTDP-informed therapist involves helping clients access core emotions by identifying and challenging unconscious defenses that block emotional expression and connection.
As an IFS Level 1 trained therapist, I have completed training in the Internal Family Systems model and am equipped to help you explore and heal your internal system.
Being a psychodynamic therapist, I work to help clients uncover and understand unconscious patterns, early relational experiences, and internal conflicts that shape their current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
