Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, self-defeating behaviors, relationship issues, cycles of anxiety and depression, or maybe you desire a deeper understanding of your life experience, I am committed to seeing you find relief. I've been a therapist for over 20 years working with a wide range of concerns and backgrounds. My aim is to help you feel more settled within yourself, develop more fulfilling and satisfying relationships, and create purpose and meaning in your life. Through our time together, it's my sincere hope you will begin to experience the joy and satisfaction that you seek in your life. My practice is rooted in a Psychodynamic, depth-oriented approach, which means we don't just look at your current symptoms—we look at the 'why' behind them. By exploring your early life experiences and unconscious patterns, we can understand how your past continues to shape your present feelings and relationships. To support this deep exploration, I integrate specific tools tailored to your needs: Internal Family Systems (IFS): We identify the different 'parts' of your personality—like the inner critic or the people-pleaser—to help you move from self-judgment to self-curiosity. Experiential Therapies: Instead of just talking about your feelings, we work with them as they arise in the moment. This helps you move from "knowing" something intellectually to actually "shifting" it emotionally. CBT: I provide practical, real-time strategies to help you shift unhelpful thought patterns in your daily life. EMDR: For those 'stuck' memories or traumas, we use bilateral stimulation to take the painful sting out of the past so it no longer triggers you today. I work with adult individual adult men and women along with those in the LGBTQ community.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I emphasize a "relaxed, conversational" feel rather than a "clinical interview." In our first session, you can expect a warm, relaxed, yet collaborative environment where we will begin exploring what brings you to therapy today. We’ll discuss your current challenges, your goals, and any background you feel comfortable sharing. There is no pressure to tell your entire story at once—we will go at your pace. By the end of our first hour, my aim is for you to feel heard, supported, and to have a beginning "map" of how we will work together toward your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic style is relaxed, supportive, and conversational. At times we will work actively and collaboratively; at other times all you might need is an objective ear to listen. Because I am trained in depth-oriented therapies, my aim is to help you delve into the underlying causes of your emotional, mental, and physical symptoms. I am committed to helping you find the relief you are seeking. While pain in life is inevitable, suffering doesn't have to be.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Many of the people I work with are navigating life transitions, complex trauma, identity questions, or persistent patterns that no longer serve them. I hope that our work together can offer a grounded, compassionate space for exploration, insight, and change.
