(she/her)
New to Grow
I have been a drug and alcohol counselor since 1995 and a mental health therapist primarily working with adult individuals since 2008. I consider my practice to be eclectic and have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Dialectical Behavior Therapy; Cognitive Processing Therapy; and Motivational Interviewing, to name a few. In addition, I have specialized training in trauma/PTSD; addictions; ADHD; LGBTIQ; military; grief and loss; depression and anxiety.
I view our first session as an opportunity for me to get to know you, find out why you are reaching out and discover what you are hoping to achieve or accomplish in therapy. It is also an opportunity for you to ask me questions to see if you feel like I am a good fit for what you are looking for in a therapist.
I work collaboratively with my clients with the goal of helping you accomplish your own personal goals and move towards a more satisfying existence.
I enjoy working with a variety of clients with varied issues and concerns. I particularly enjoy working with individuals seeking personal growth opportunities and who are ready to make real changes in their lives in order to achieve their own personal goals and improve their life and circumstances by engaging fully in the therapeutic process. It is not about what I want for you, rather, what you want for yourself.
