I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Case Manager (CCM), RN, and Ordained Minister. My goal is to provide affordable counseling services to individuals, couples, and families who are facing challenges with their mental and emotional health or in relationships. I use an eclectic approach that pulls from various modalities of therapy that can be beneficial to your situation.
In our first session we will do an assessment of your current functioning, brief history, set some initial goals for our time together, and complete a safety plan. This process allows me to get to know important information about you quickly while we set the course for our journey together.
Having been in the healthcare field for almost 3 decades has allowed me to have a vast array of experience across populations ranging from Veterans, children, couples, families, eldercare, parents, and antepartum women. I also have been involved in pastoral ministry since 2005, which has given me unique experience with helping people through spiritual crises, grief, and family challenges.
If you are ready to start navigating through the waves of life to find solid ground I am here to come along side of you on the journey. Therapy gives you a space to process things without fear or judgement. It also gives you a place to practice coping skills, new reactions, and communication in a safe atmosphere. If you are looking for a therapist to give you all the answers or do all the work alone, then I am not the one for you. If you are ready to partner in finding answers and learning and practicing new ways to cope then you are ready to get on the boat. Book your first appointment now. I can't wait to work with you!
Christian Counseling
All therapy is provided through a Christian Theocentric method. As an Ordained Minister with the Church of God, I will utilize therapeutic methods that may be beneficial to your treatment and align with your values and worldview.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is designed with the understanding that our thoughts produce our emotions and reactions, rather than our emotions controlling us. Strategies are taught to improve self-regulation and identify common thought pattern errors.
Grief Therapy
Grief is not something we just "get over," but rather something we walk though and learn to carry with us. Therapy is supportive and designed to instill hope.
Structural Family Therapy
Structural Family Therapy can help your family identify strengths, and positive patterns of interaction, as well as negative ones. Strategies are taught to improve reactions to one another within the family.

Marcy has a warm and welcoming personality. The fact that she has a background in 3 decades of being a Registered Nurse and the healthcare field makes her approach feel much more grounded in knowing what we need as human beings beside mental and emotional warmth/comfort/safety to the physical needs of the body . She has the love of God in her heart and the Church based atmosphere of the therapy location feels pleasant, serene, peaceful, warm and full of love, kindness, compassion, understanding
