Hello, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I work in private practice. This is my dream career and I believe that being allowed into someone's private thoughts and the workings of their life is a sacred place. The first session is dotted with questions about: Culture, world view, personal habits, strengths and vulnerabilities, substance use, sleep, eating and activity habits, any concerns you have, your likes and dislikes and your counseling expectations. Confidentiality and exceptions will be discussed. Feel free to question me.
As therapist I an in 100%. I am open to listening. I have two ears and one mouth so I try to listen twice as much as I talk. I believe this life is the client's journey and they have to plot their own course. Even children can be empowered to make positive decisions.
I have had the honor of receiving caring, motivated clients who are searching for a better way. I see teens, and they love that I am a gamer. I love to facilitate acceptance between husbands and wives or partners and between parents and children.

Many times preparation before requests decreases outbursts. I have raised 4 children and have 17 grandchildren. I have found behavioral methods to be valuable in increasing desired behaviors and decreasing undesired behaviors. Teaching your child to negotiate with you early can lay a foundation of communication and cooperation when they become teens.
