I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a history of providing a variety of mental health and case management services to individuals in a variety of settings. I am dedicated to helping and supporting adult individuals from a Christian faith-based perspective improve their self-esteem, increase healthy coping skills to build resiliency, and improve functioning in order to achieve overall mental wellness with a more positive outlook.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

So that I can support you in meeting your treatment goals before we start the therapy process, our goal in the first session is to ensure I have a good understanding of what is bringing you to therapy. I’m going to ask you a variety of questions that will help us create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Active listening, reflective listening and providing constructive feedback, partnering with the client towards a solution using their power of making choices in the best interest of the client's strengths and overall wellbeing.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Individuals struggling to cope and adjust to managing a range of life stressors in their personal life or work environment. I work with individuals suffering from mild symptoms of anxiety and mild functional impairment due to an unexpected interruption of their daily personal lives or work setting. In my professional opinion, Telehealth is not appropriate for all mental health issues such as presenting in crisis or with chronic severe symptoms that may require hospitalization. If you are in crisis and need immediate assistance, please call 988 for the Suicide/Self _arm Hotline or text "Home" to 741741

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

My experience includes this type of therapy because it integrates traditional talk therapy methodologies with Christian belief practices by incorporating Biblica/ theological concepts. It focuses on the navigation of spiritual concerns and everyday life struggles

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my experience it is more effective to start from the strengths of the client, by incorporating this treatment method because it is a Strength based approach to psychotherapy that focuses on solution building rather than problem-solving

Reality Therapy

I have applied this method over the course of my experience because the goal is to help people take control of improving their own lives by learning to make better choices. This method is client-centered approach to positive outcomes.

Psychoeducation

I have found in providing direct service to clients is that psychoeducation is an important component of treatment as it has been found to improve treatment outcomes as it increases awareness and understanding of mental health issues by reducing stress by providing greater insight into a situation or condition.
