I'm an LCSW based in Texas. I received my master's degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I also have a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri, where I majored in English, with a specialty in playwrighting, and minored in sociology. I've worked in mental health since 2011, with experience in community mental health, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, private practice, and as an adjunct college instructor. I'm an AmeriCorps alum.
In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your goals and what you hope to achieve through our sessions together. I’ll ask some questions to learn more about your current situation, challenges, and strengths, but this session is really about you—your story, your concerns, and your hopes for the future. We'll also talk about how I work and what you can expect in our sessions, including the focus on ongoing support and practical skills. This is a space for you to feel heard and understood, and we'll work together to create a plan that feels right for you moving forward.
