Are you feeling overwhelmed? Are you finding you are not as happy as you should be? Are there negative thoughts that intrude in your daily life? I am here to help you figure out what you need to do to be your best self. Everyone can use an objective voice to help them work out whatever is going on in their lives. Sometimes relief can begin just by deciding that a little help won’t hurt. I have the experience to help with the stress of today's world. This experience helps me understand and empathize with clients’ situations and so can offer real world help. I believe you to be an active participant in therapy, I am not here to tell you how to run your life. I am here to help you find your own path.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal is to teach clients tools so they can manage on their own. We will work to identify the triggers and negative thought patterns and find ways to make them more positive. I like to start with what is distressing to the client in the present day so they can improve their functioning. This usually leads to dealing with the 'old stuff' that people carry around with them. It all comes together in a more positive, clear path forward.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use Mindfulness techniques and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as I believe clients to be active participants in finding their path. It doesn't help if they chose a path that I think they should be on. It is important for clients to find their own path or it is not going to help them feel better and move forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe I am good at asking the right questions to get to the true heart of the issue. Anxiety, depression, even ADHD and OCD, manifest in different ways for different people. So there are no set answers. The trick is to find the core belief and then find the best way to either combat it or reframe it to make it work for the person.
