I have been providing therapy for almost 18 years and I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and many other common presenting issues.
I use a variety of approaches to therapy and do not usually stick with one model. I cater my approach to what the client needs.
First session
In the first session together we will start with brief introductions which is then followed by identifying the kind of help that you are seeking and we will come up with some goals and objectives for our time together so we know what it would look like to make progress and find psychological relief.
Strengths
Over the past 19 years it has become evident in my relationship with my clients that my ability to connect with people on an individual level has been a great strength and asset for me. Helped our therapeutic process and has helped to create a safe environment for clients to find what resources they have.
Ideal clients
I’m best positioned to support adults who are motivated for change but feel stuck—whether in patterns of anxiety, overthinking, emotional reactivity, or relationship stress. My ideal client is someone who wants practical tools, honest reflection, and a collaborative space to understand themselves more clearly. Many of the people I work with are high‑functioning, caring, and responsible, yet privately overwhelmed or burnt out. They’re ready to break old cycles, communicate more effectively, and build a life that feels aligned with their values rather than their stress. If you’re looking for a therapist who is warm, structured, and grounded in evidence‑based approaches like CBT and ACT, I’m here to help you develop skills, strengthen insight, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used CBT ever since I started practicing in 2006. I find it helpful to guide clients to change thought patterns to help them better adjust and feel better and to make better choices.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I have been practicing ACT for the past few years, and I especially like the focus around becoming more psychologically flexible.
Christian Counseling
I have been trained in Christian Counseling from the university I have attended. I have been a Christ-follower almost my entire life and bring that experience as well to the counseling experience.
EMDR
I am recently trained in EMDR and I am fascinated with the success rate of desensitizing clients to past trauma, anxieties and other triggers.
