I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California, who is passionate about trauma-informed care, social justice, relational depth, and family, with a demonstrated history of community-based and non-profit mental healthcare across demographics. I navigate life with a balance of insight and quiet contemplation, valuing both logic and deep emotional understanding. I believe in the power of knowledge, resilience, and unwavering conviction met with flexibility. Recognizing the weight of past experiences, patterns, relationships, my approach is client-centered, integrative, and purpose-driven, helping individuals explore identity, navigate systemic challenges, and foster meaningful healing and growth. I create safe spaces for transformation while maintaining strong professional boundaries to also foster security and stability. Movement, whether through music, dance, or personal growth, fuels me. I love cooking and believe food to be one of life’s greatest pleasures and connectors. I find meaning in the rhythms, in the stories we tell, and in the connections we forge. I am described as a balance of both reason and heart. Rooted in culture, advocacy, and a deep respect for the complexities and joys of the human experience, I strive to also create spaces where both thought and emotion can coexist.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, you can expect a warm, empathetic, and safe space where you are met with curiosity, non-judgement, and care. We will take things at your pace, without pressure to share before ready. I will ask some open-ended questions to get to know you and a sense of what brings you into therapy, what's been on your mind, and what you hope to get out of therapy. If you're not sure yet, that's okay, too, we will explore this together. I see therapy as a collaborative process, so we will figure out what feels most helpful for you while making space for questions and concerns. My role isn't to give you all of the answers, but to support you in gaining insight, clarity, and tools that align with your needs. This is your space and we will build on what feels right for you and adjust as we go.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and client-centered care. Grounded in emotion-focused, humanistic principles, I integrate evidence-based approaches to support each client’s unique journey in a safe, affirming space. Passionate about advocacy, activism, diversity, equity, and inclusion, I recognize the profound impact of culture, intersectional identity, and systemic influences on mental health. Through a social justice lens, I help clients navigate personal healing while considering the complexities of family, community, and societal structures. With a love for music, media, food, culture, and storytelling, I believe in creative expression as a powerful tool for connection and transformation. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I am committed to fostering resilience, self-discovery, and meaningful change, collaboratively, in those I support at a pace where healing is possible and accessible meeting clients where they are.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with those who are open to growth, even if they are unsure where to start. I thrive in guiding through transitions, identity, exploration, healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, stress and emotional challenges. I have deeply enjoyed work with transitional aged youth (16-23) and young adults in empowerment and growth through therapy. I have a trauma-informed approach, meaning that I recognize how past experiences, especially difficult or overwhelming ones, can shape how we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. If trauma is a part of your story, we will approach it with care, building safety, regulation, and trust before diving into deeper processing.
