Hi, my name is Kim Elliott, LCSW. I have been working in this field for over 36 years. I strive to live out the coping strategies to assist clients but practicing them myself. I base my work on my growing values to include, humility, love, patience and integrity. My main goal is to work collaboratively with my clients to allow for them to utilize their strengths, knowledge, and goals to live out their authentic lives, and work through the challenges they are facing.

The first session entails getting to know each other, assessment and rapport building. We will look at your goals and determine the best way forward to attain those goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

People describe me as down to earth, authentic and easy to talk to. My work in using EMDR for Chronic Pain has allowed for me to assist in decreasing discomfort for many. The therapeutic relationship is crucial and most important as we dive into your concerns and work together to alleviate them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My focus is on mindfulness, being in the moment and learning to live your best life. My therapeutic approaches and techniques include CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, EMDR, and motivational interviewing. I also use other techniques in my eclectic approach to meet the client where they are at. I work with clients from many different backgrounds and challenges. I work with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma and chronic pain, among others.
