Veronica Rodriguez-Cabrera

LCSW (she/her)11 years of experience

My name is Veronica Rodriguez-Cabrera and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a therapist, my approach compassionate and culturally responsive. I support folx in healing from past experiences and gain personal growth. I specialize in trauma recovery, familial therapy, and supporting underrepresented communities. I create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your story at your own pace. My practice is grounded in strengths-based approaches, like Brainspotting and CBT, focusing on your resilience. On my free time I enjoy listening to music, being in nature and cooking nourishing meals.

First session

On your first session we will co-create a space that embraces reciprocity and community. We will have the opportunity to meet, review your intake paper work, discuss your current challenges and set treatment goals. You will have a chance to ask questions about my therapeutic approach and other information you may have about therapy.

Strengths

I consider myself a holistic community therapist in the way I hold space for folx. I hold sacred space where you can tap into your inner healing agency to transform and transmute pain and suffering into growth and wisdom for your personal liberation. On your healing path to yourself, I will support you in gaining awareness into your resources. We will explore healing which centers and honors you as the carrier of your medicine.

Ideal clients

Typically I work well with clients who show up consistently to sessions and value therapy. I often work with clients who are adolescents and adults who are curious about the therapeutic process and exploring their healing journey. Clients who are open to co- creating a sacred space to receive support and release what is needed and no longer serves their life.

Treatment methods

Brainspotting

I utilize this approach for client's who have a lot of fears they are ready to release.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize this approach for clients who have disruptive behaviors and thoughts that they want to change.
