(she/her)
Hello, my name is Christina, and I am a board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a doctorate (DNP-PMHNP). I earned my doctorate at the University of Massachusetts, Irvine CA (UMASS Global). I specialize in using evidence-based practice, medication therapy, talk therapy, meditation, coping skills, knowledge, and clinical skills with clients with different kinds of mental health challenges. I specialize in ages 6 to 70 and above. I consider integrity a prerequisite in gaining trust because it allows me to adapt, teach, and use morally acceptable practices. I use critical thinking abilities, innovation, effective communication capabilities, respect, empathy, compassion, and mentorship aptitude, which epitomize and embody my passion archetype, because it assists me in understanding others and inspiring and motivating them to get better. My practice as a psychiatric nurse practitioner is characterized by providing culturally sensitive, empathetic, and holistic care to patients and their families. I strive to provide innovative care to optimize patient care and achieve integrity, respect, and commitment in my nursing practice. As I started my nursing career, my most important goal and mission was how I could impact someone else's life and uplift another person. What is my contribution to eradicating the stigma behind mental health so people will not be reluctant to seek help? How do I bridge the gap for people suffering from mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and personality disorders? OCD, etc., how do I use my skills to reach out and understand their cry for help? My nursing journey has been channeled by a deep-seated desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions and your history, then dive into your specific challenges. This will help me create a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and a plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My mission as a PMHNP is to provide compassionate care to all patients regardless of their identities, such as gender, race, nationality, disability, and other personal traits that impact their health outcomes. I also aim to provide innovative care to optimize patient care experiences with integrity, respect, and commitment to their care.
I work with individuals suffering from mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. OCD, etc. My goal was not just treatments and medications but also connections, the difference a kind word, a listening ear, and a compassionate heart could make. I am building a career where science and compassion meet to heal not just the body but the complete wellness of the soul and overall well-being. I am here as part of your mental health journey into wellness. Healing begins here…together.
Providing emotional support, encouragement, and validation to help individuals cope with life's challenges and improve their overall well-being, alongside medications
i use this approach for clients with anxiety/depression to allow clients to explore their existence, confront inner conflicts, and understand how their choices influence their future, thereby helping clients gain a clearer sense of their experiences and their meaning with the goal of a more fulfilling and authentic existence alongside medication therapy
I aim to educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and how to manage symptoms and challenges. My goal is to empower my clients to make informed decisions about their treatment and actively participate in their recovery.
