Jeri Pamp
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I am also a board-certified health coach. Over the years I have done this work, I have repeatedly seen people make changes to better their lives and relationships. It really is a privilege to part of someone's healing journey.
First session
The first session is a meet and greet of sorts. There is the standard assessment, history taking, but the most important part of the session is learning about the client's goals for our work.
Strengths
I suppose the biggest strength I bring to this work is the unwavering belief that there is hope.
Ideal clients
My skills are best suited for clients looking to make changes to improve their quality of life.
Treatment methods
Eclectic
I use a number of different treatment approaches. The process of examining and changing one's life is not "one-size-fits-all" in my practice. Most people come into therapy because they want to change something about themselves. Let's figure it out together.
Attachment-based
Attachment begins in childhood and impacts us throughout life. I help clients understand and identify their own unmet attachment needs and collaborate to heal those wounds in favor of healthy adult functioning.
Motivational Interviewing
I have had quite a bit of training in Motivational Interviewing which let's face it is a really weird name. Its basis is a blend of humanist psychology and cognitive behavioral approaches. Behavior change requires learning to do things differently. I enjoy collaborating with clients to learn together how to make changes that improve quality of life.
