My name is Leah, I wear many hats in this big bad world. I am a mother, a friend, a wife, a sister, and an individual with lived experience with ADHD and Anxiety. I feel like all these hats give me a unique lens to support others through their healing process. I join/support with an individual through empathy, honesty and direct feedback.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start the process of getting to know each other. With respect, we will explore your world, history and I will hear your story.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel as if I have the ability to hear what is being said and what is not being said. I use empathy to build connection as I believe healing starts with connection.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have extensive experience working with a myriad of different individuals. Those who are ready to explore their symptoms, their histories and their environmental impact on their daily lives are best served.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I believe that most of our current patterns of dealing with every day and or situational stressors can be complicated based on our early childhood experiences. Those deep ingrained patterns can be very challenging to accept and change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Once we learn to accept all parts of self we can make commitments to move forward in our healing journey.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use cognitive behavioral therapy in most components in my therapy practice and in my personal life. I find that most people already do use some form of cognitive restructuring but dont know that they are doing it. We are so cruel to ourselves, and I hope to help individuals find how to be kinder to our inner child/self through the use of CBT.

Trauma Informed Care

As a trauma survivor, I use this modality of care in everything that I do and every person that I encounter. It is vital in the building of trust in the therapeutic relationship.
