Welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I received my Masters from Nova Southeastern University and have been in private practice for the past six years. I work both in person and through Telehealth. I work primarily with trauma survivors, college students under stress, and people in recovery from addictions. I help people heal so they can focus on creating a life they want.

I’m Michelle (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Central Florida.    Central Florida has been my home for over 15 years. I attended University of Central Florida where I completed both a Bachelors and Masters of Social Work.  During my Masters, I also specialized in Military Social Work and received training in Play Therapy.  Since then, I have gone on to work with families and youth, strengthening relationships, overcoming trauma (particularly sexual trauma), and building their self- worth. I have 6 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker where I have been able to utilize my bilingual skills specifically with adolescents and their families. Along with acquiring skills in expressive therapies, therapy outdoors,  as well as superhero therapy to utilize fandom and creativity to help clients reach their Better Tomorrow. Currently I am an MSTI Florida Certified Sex Therapist. I am a mother, a wife, a survivor, and like you I am flawed.  Each of us is on a journey of self growth and discovery and I would love to be a part of yours.

Hello! My name is Ashley Harlan and I am a licensed professional counselor and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor who specializes in working with adolescents and young adults who have experienced trauma, substance use, life stressors and transitions, depression, and anxiety. I received a Master of Science of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University in 2017. Since then, I have worked in both residential and outpatient settings, conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions. I have previously served as the Clinical Supervisor for an inpatient rehab for adolescents. Additionally, I am adjunct faculty for two online colleges, teaching psychology-related topics.

I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004, and have held a supervision designation since 2015. I have also held a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a supervision/training designation license since 2018. I have maintained a private counseling practice in Chillicothe since 2000, and I continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and to working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children. My most common theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Christian Therapy, but I am proud to be able to use a multitude of approaches, dependent on what works best for the client(s) involved. I value the individual and the couple regardless of age or philosophical approach to their life or relationship. I see my goal of treatment as improving the individual or couple to be the best they want to be. My communication tone or approach tends to be direct but laid back. We are in session to work together, not have me tell you what to do or where you need to go.

My life experiences drew me to become a therapist and gave me a strong desire to help others on their paths. I have worked in a variety of settings, from schools, jails, and hospitals to private practice. I have specialized training in TF-CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, autism, and women's issues, including perinatal, postpartum, and perimenopausal/menopausal issues.
