An ideal client is one who comes to counseling with an open mind and is ready to try new approaches and coping skills. Each person will benefit differently from a wide variety of approaches. Hi! My name is Jacqueline Lizarazo, and I go by Jackie. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in therapy for individuals, children, and couples, with a focus on grief, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and sexual abuse. Why Choose Me: I want you to read the following passages: On Abuse: “I lived in a glass house into which my mother could look at any time. In a glass house, however, you cannot conceal anything without giving yourself away, except by hiding it under the ground. And then you cannot see it yourself, either.” On Depression: “Trees aren’t supposed to display fruit; they’re supposed to produce it. As much as I wanted to see results, I knew that I had to wait. The tree had to become healthy and mature before it could produce the fruit, and that takes time.” If what you read resonates with you, this is the type of therapy I offer. I push, and sometimes might make you cry—not to harm, but for growth. I deeply care about my patients and only want the best for you. I am not judgmental; I am here to listen and provide feedback. I often ask myself the question: if I were sitting where you are, would I come back? And the answer is yes. I give homework, so don’t expect it to be easy unless we need it to be. I am flexible, and my schedule is pretty open to fit your needs. We’re going to have days where we just catch up and talk about what happened that week but be prepared to talk about your past. I believe together we can grow into the person you want to be.

I am a License Mental Health Counselor in New York and Florida that works with marital counseling clients and those experiencing relationship issues and who are struggling with their sense of self confidence. My ideal client is someone who is committed to the process of self-introspection and wants to be held accountable to reach their goals. I specialize in counseling women and men on self-esteem, worth & actualization. I also support clients affected by bullying, narcissistic abuse as well as those dealing with complicated grief. As your therapist, I will assist you in discovering or uncovering yourself. This might mean realizing some difficult truths about your personality and behavior patterns, tapping into your strengths, and identifying what coping skills work for you. Or, it might mean working through emotional pain, trauma, or barriers that prevent you from being your best self. In my years of experience, I have found that once a person’s authentic identity has been discovered through therapy, clients can accept who they are, confidently speak up for themselves and understand themselves with greater perspective. Usually this leads to healthier relationship choices and dynamics. I will help you to learn more about yourself and make realistic changes.

Hello! I began my social work journey in 2006 and have been working in the mental health field since I obtained my MSW in 2008. As a clinical social worker I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of helping individuals identify and address many mental health concerns and move towards the life they most desire. I am passionate about addressing the stigma around addictions and serious mental illness and I believe the best way to begin any mental health journey of recovery is with compassion and understanding. I work from a cognitive-behavioral perspective and I use a strengths-based orientation of empowerment to work with adults and couples. I feel that we are already our best selves-we just need some help letting go of the survival skills we've taken on to get through the toughest times in our lives. I have spent several years working exclusively with homeless veterans and individuals struggling with addiction, and this has given me additional perspective and insight into the needs of some of our most vulnerable populations. I am an advocate, an accountability partner, an empath and your greatest cheerleader. I'm excited to help you rediscover your best self and to claim the life you deserve.

Hello, welcome to my practice! You can call me Dr. J. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a PhD in Social Work, specializing in mental health education. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional IIn (CCTPII) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). My professional work is informed by both extensive clinical training and deeply rooted life experience. I was raised by my grandmother and grew up surrounded by a large extended family where substance use disorders and mental illness were present. These experiences shaped my understanding of resilience, compassion, and the long-term effects of unaddressed emotional pain. I am a Christian, a wife, a mother of two young adult children, and a grandmother to three. I have also experienced three miscarriages and a previous divorce, this has deepened my sensitivity to grief, healing, and life’s most difficult transitions. My faith is central to who I am. When appropriate and aligned with a client’s values, I integrate scripture and faith-based principles into the session. Clinically, I specialize in helping women manage anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, bipolar disorder, and chronic medical conditions impacted by mental health challenges. I integrate evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused strategies—grounded in compassion, understanding, and clinical integrity. I believe that all people are born precious and free. Along life’s journey, challenges may leave individuals feeling unseen, unheard, or misunderstood. I am here to help you examine areas where you may feel stuck, while honoring your autonomy and inner strength. Therapy is a space for reflection, self-awareness, and growth—free from judgment and negative self-talk. Therapy can be life-changing. I would be honored to walk alongside you and support you as you move toward healing, clarity, and wholeness.
