Giving back to the community that shaped me has always been at the heart of my work. I take pride in building authentic, trusting relationships with my clients and value open communication. I actively invite feedback to ensure our work together is effective—if something isn’t working, it’s my responsibility to adapt and find an approach that does. My name is Susan Charney MSW,LCSW with a diversified experiential backround. I work with those individuals ,couples and families that are compliant and realize that everyone can use some help at some point. It takes courage to realize help is needed. My job in the first session, is to be transparent and to establish trust.Thank you for choosing me as your therapist.Therapy is most effective when it is active, collaborative, and focused on meaningful change. In my work, clients are supported in exploring what is and isn’t working in their lives and relationships, while also developing practical strategies they can use day to day. Sessions are engaging and interactive, with thoughtful questions, feedback, and guidance designed to help move things forward in a clear and purposeful way. With more than 25 years of experience, support is offered to individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, family conflict, grief and loss, anxiety, life transitions and , traumas. Couples and families are helped to recognize unhelpful patterns, improve communication, rebuild trust, and develop healthier ways of resolving conflict. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an important foundation, however, care is tailored to each person and situation rather than relying on a single approach. The focus is not only on understanding the roots of a concern, but also on identifying concrete steps that can lead to improvement in daily life and relationships. Experience also includes work with individuals facing extraordinary stress, trauma, grief, and crisis, including those impacted by events such as September 11, care provided at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, frontline healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and individuals affected by the war in Israel. These experiences have reinforced the importance of meeting people where they are, offering nonjudgmental support, and helping them find practical ways forward during some of life’s most challenging moments.

A better life is here for you. I'm Lorelei, a licensed therapist and EMDR specialist who helps individuals and couples get unstuck and build meaningful lives. Anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, self-doubt, relationship struggles — these don't have to define you. Neither does that quiet feeling of drifting through life without purpose or direction. Therapy with me is a safe space where your truth is heard. That alone can be healing. I listen deeply and give you practical tools that actually work. You'll leave sessions feeling grounded, clearer, and excited about what's ahead. You deserve the full life you were meant to live. In couples work, I help you escape the roommates syndrome and actually enjoy each other again. There was a reason you chose each other — sometimes you just need help finding your way back. You may even have mixed feelings about whether you should stay. Let's explore that together. I also offer a pre-marital program for couples who want to start right. Life can feel heavy, lonely, and confusing — even when it looks fine from the outside. If you're stuck, anxious, constantly stressed, or just going through the motions, I want you to know that's not the whole story of who you are. You don't have to figure this out alone, and you don't have to stay here. Therapy takes courage, but it works. Let's talk.

Hello, Thank you for reviewing my profile. Briefly; I am Licensed Naturopathic Doctor, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor I work with adult professional women dealing with anxiety, depression, past unresolved trauma, grief, stress and relationship issues. My philosophy is that we need positive human beings in our lives, to 'see' us and bear witness to our lives. In order for us to be fully human, we need at least one supportive individual who validates the part of us that needs healing. We need meaningful experiences to help us navigate this journey called life. My training as a Naturopathic Doctor affords me a lens to also consider, incorporate and integrate diet & lifestyle practices for your overall well-being. So, if you are tired of being tired, anxious, sad, depressed and you're just going through the motions, feeling stuck in dysfunctional patterns that drain you; AND you are willing to do the work to get well, then you need skilled, compassionate support to help you get unstuck and get your life back on track, so that you can experience purposeful living. As our paths intersect her, I start with the intention that you to "prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers" 3 John 2.

Hi, I'm Dr. Cohen. Life changes, relationship concerns, stress, anxiety, depression, and difficulty setting boundaries can leave you feeling overwhelmed or unsure of what to do next. I believe you are the expert on yourself, and my role is to provide guidance and support as we work toward greater understanding, positive change, and personal growth. I work hard to create an environment where you can feel comfortable, heard, and accepted. Our work may involve talking through a difficult experience, addressing a specific concern, looking at situations from a new perspective, or finding healthier ways to respond to challenges. My approach combines warmth and acceptance with practical problem-solving. I value building strong relationships with my clients and want therapy to feel both supportive and useful. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping people make meaningful changes, reach their goals, and feel more content in their lives. I have 30 years of experience as a clinical psychologist. I earned my bachelor's degree at UCLA and my Ph.D. at Oklahoma State University, before going on to build a rewarding career in Arizona.

I have lived a long and colorful life. Like everyone else, I've made good and bad choices and learned from each. I have 22+ years experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment field. I DO NOT JUDGE, AT ALL, PERIOD. I can be both blunt and gentle as appropriate. My role is to offer another perspective, a way to see life more fully and function better, no more, no less. I don't pretend to have all the answers but only one slice of wisdom. I just share what can help someone. Some people are not yet ready to be helped. Yet for those who are feeling lost on life's journey and are willing to listen and learn, I'm here to assist. My life work can be summed up in three words, "offering people hope. " "The wound is where the light enters." - Jeladdin Rumi "A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once." Martin Luther King Jr. "Wouldn't take nothin' for my journey now." - Maya Angelou "The past is gone, and there is left only a blessing." - Kahlil Gibran "Be true to yourself, and you will be false to no one else." - William Shakespeare "How very lucky are we, for just a moment to be, part of life's eternal rhyme." Charlotte's Web, movie "Not all who wander are lost." J.R.R. Tolkien

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to people—their stories, their emotions, and the quiet places where they carry their pain. After experiencing my own seasons of grief and change, I realized how powerful it can be to have someone walk beside you through it. Becoming a therapist felt less like a decision and more like a calling to offer the support I once needed myself. Today, I’m honored to hold space for others as they navigate loss, healing, and the search for themselves again.

I have a Doctorate in Behavioral Health Management and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, both were obtained from Arizona State University. I have been practicing for about 6 years and have been in outpatient settings, prison setting, VA facilities, and am currently in a residential facility. Hi, its nice to meet you. I have been a therapist for a decade now. Before being a therapist, I spent 20 years in Healthcare Administration with 17 of those in management. I share this because I understand the stress that comes with the "corp" world and management. After 20 years, I decided to change careers and utilize my skills in coaching and mentoring. I received my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am a health and wellness focused licensed professional counselor, so I spend time talking about how to balance your life, your stress, and ensure you are having some fun in your life. Therapeutically I'm very eclectic. I use different techniques based on your needs. That being said, yes, I use CBT, DBT, REBT, talk therapy, and assessments as most therapists do. My primary focus is all types of Anxiety, ADHD testing in adults, Executive Functioning, Self-Confidence, Life Changes, and Couples/Relationship Counseling. I do have a "day job" so the work I do through Grow is part time, evening and most Saturdays.

If you can read this, you made the first step. Congratulations. Seeking therapy is hard. Most people delay and tell themselves that whatever they are experiencing must be the way life is. Chances are if you have reached the point to begin exploring therapy, counseling can help make your life better. While therapy is often hard, it can be an enjoyable and uplifting experience as well. I believe that you cannot laugh without a combination of insight and relief. You can expect some humor in most sessions. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. In that time I have worked with men, women, teens, and families on a wide variety of issues. Sometimes that work simply involved helping them through a particular incident or life change that overwhelmed them. Other times our work together centered around longstanding issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. In addition to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy, I also offer a fourth-wave therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have found this technique to be highly effective in helping people with trauma and or anxiety. Our minds and bodies are connected. Anyone who has experienced a tight neck and shoulders or an upset stomach when they were stressed knows this. EFT uses acupressure (done by the client) and cognitive interventions to provide fast and effective relief. With over 20 years of clinical experience, I am ready to help you through the challenges you are facing. In addition to counseling, I also provide vocational testing, coaching, and consulting. I provide both Christian and secular counseling depending on the needs of my clients. For clients with high level confidentiality concerns due to corporate or clearance issues, there are ways we can do EFT without you ever speaking out loud about events.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Arizona. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Arizona from Tucson to Mesa! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Arizona.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Grief, is filtering therapists in Arizona that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
