Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an assessment meeting focused on gaining a comprehensive understanding of your current concerns, personal history, emotional functioning, and treatment goals. During this session, we will discuss the challenges that brought you to therapy, review relevant mental health, family, relationship, and life experiences, and explore the areas where you would like support and growth. This meeting also provides an opportunity to establish rapport, discuss the therapeutic process and determine the most appropriate treatment approach based on your individual needs and strengths. My goal is to create a supportive, trauma-informed and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace while collaboratively identifying goals for treatment and ongoing care.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist include building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, empathy and emotional safety. I bring extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative and strength-based, with a focus on helping clients feel supported while developing practical coping skills, resilience and meaningful personal growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support children, adolescents, adults, couples and families who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, behavioral challenges, addiction, and major life stressors. I work well with clients who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about how to move forward and are seeking a supportive, collaborative and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including autistic clients, as well as children and adolescents impacted by abuse, neglect, family conflict, foster care involvement and complex trauma. I also support individuals struggling with emotional regulation, OCD, ODD, recovery from substance use or gambling addiction and relationship or family challenges. My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, strength-based, and client-centered. I help clients build coping skills, improve communication, process difficult experiences, strengthen relationships, and develop practical strategies that support emotional wellness, resilience, and long-term healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help children, adolescents, adults, couples and families identify unhealthy thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop effective coping skills. I have utilized CBT interventions with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, ODD, grief, addiction, behavioral challenges, trauma-related symptoms, and neurodivergent presentations, including individuals on the autism spectrum across multiple settings.

Family Therapy

I use a family systems approach to strengthen communication, improve family dynamics and support healthier relationships within the family unit. I have experience providing family therapy for children, adolescents, parents, and caregivers in multiple environments while addressing behavioral concerns, trauma, conflict and family transitions.

Strength-Based

I incorporate psychoeducation and strength-based interventions to help clients better understand mental health symptoms, develop coping strategies and build on existing strengths. I have provided psychoeducation in individual, family, and group settings related to trauma, addiction, recovery, emotional regulation, behavioral health and wellness.

Trauma Informed Care

I provide trauma-informed therapy using evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, to support clients impacted by abuse, neglect, grief, domestic violence, exploitation, addiction and complex trauma. My experience includes working with commercially sexually exploited children, children removed from parental care and individuals experiencing significant emotional and behavioral challenges while promoting safety, stabilization, healing and resilience.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify strengths, build practical solutions and establish achievable treatment goals. I incorporate this approach to support individuals and families experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, adjustment difficulties, and relational stress while encouraging empowerment and resilience.
