My name is Victoria Jutrowski, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), as well as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in the state of New Jersey. I am passionate about making people feel less alone, the destigmatization of mental health disorders, and bringing my own unique approach to a clinical space. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient/outpatient levels of care, ambulatory withdrawal management, and group private practice setting. I am experienced working with teenagers ages 15+ as well as adults in all stages of life. During my free time I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, exercise, and cuddling with my two dogs.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. I will gather some background information so I know how to best support you in treatment. (I know this can be the most stressful part about starting therapy because it is so vulnerable! I ensure you I try to make the information-gathering process feel like a conversation and not an interview.) This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. We will also review my practice policies and procedures, and answer any questions you have along the way.
My strengths as a therapist are my empathy, direct/effective communication, clinical knowledge, and my humor. For more information about me and client reviews/experiences please visit heartshavenllc.com.
I enjoy working with motivated clients who are open to feedback/direction, and are willing to put in the work. These clients are open to consistent weekly/biweekly therapy sessions in order to yield best outcomes. I see clients in all stages of life, that are seeking the tools and support necessary to thrive.
I utilize this treatment method to help clients with negative self talk, rumination, and excessive worry.
I utilize this treatment method to help clients increase distress tolerance as well as mindfulness skills.
I like to ensure my clients feel as though I am a relatable human, and not a "clinical robot."
I like to utilize this approach when getting to know a client, so they feel supported and understood in session.
I like to utilize a treatment method based on my client's needs, not falling back on a "one size fits all" approach.
