-Experience mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. -Identify as minorities and bring rich, diverse cultural perspectives that may not align with Western norms. -Are elderly individuals, as I have a strong interest in supporting the mental health of aging clients who often feel underrepresented in the mental health community.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice and I have found it to be extremely successful with my clients. CBT explores to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and how these were developed. I also address the cultural sensitivity within the context of CBT.
