When we first meet, I plan to help you feel relaxed and comfortable which developing a professional therapeutic relationship. We will review your medications, history, and current symptoms. This appointment will include a psychiatric evaluation. Abington Health Group believes in providing thorough compassionate care exemplified by offering our first meeting lasting around 60 minutes. We will make a plan for treatment. Follow up appointments are typically 15-30 minutes. If you have recent labs, tests, or diagnoses from another provider, please have it ready for review. Time ensures we understand your goals and values to personalize your treatment plan.
Allison is a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified by ANCC in Psychiatric Mental Health and by AANP in Adult Geriatric Primary Care. She treats children and adults. She has experience working across the life span. Allison has an extensive education. She has received training in the United States and Europe. “I use evidence-based therapies in my practice. During treatment, relaxation techniques help you to feel calm and open. I will guide you in how to reflect on your emotions and reactions to situations from the past in order to face those or other challenging situations in the future, helping you to become the best version of you”.

We treat anxiety, panic, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, sleep disorders, mood disorders, and more with a combination of personalized therapeutic techniques and medication management. We can treat patients with a moderate level of mental illness. If a patient should need inpatient care or a higher level of care, has a suicide attempt, or attempts to harm self or others, they may benefit from another practice which has additional emergency resources. Abington Health Group is not responsible for finding you another provider, but will offer suggestions on how a patient can do so.
