Hello, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing as a clinician for over 18 years. My emphasis is on Anxiety, Depression and Perinatal Mental Health. My goal is to educate and create a greater sense of understanding about the purpose of our emotions with a support to clients to identify the cause of stressors, behavioral changes and dysfunctional thinking patterns.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. We will then collaborate on treatment planning that align with your goal and expectations of therapy for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Sessions are only telehealth- video or by phone.
I feel it is important to share that counseling can be pursued not only to handle problems, but also to find more meaning in life, feel more connected to others and our surroundings, and to increase the joy of being alive! I will provide support in recognizing and replacing unhealthy patterns of relating and beliefs with more realistic and effective thoughts, thus decreasing emotional distress and self-defeating behaviors.
