The initial intake session includes a comprehensive psychiatric assessment and a review of treatment goals and preferences. We will work together to identify evidence-based treatments that align with your goals. My holistic, collaborative, and personable approach ensures that your unique journey toward improved mental health is met with understanding, expertise, and support. I will utilize several assessment screenings depending on the presentation of symptoms, motivational interviewing, and therapeutic communication. I also incorporate some cognitive-behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing and interpersonal therapy into my supportive counseling.
With over two decades of experience in the mental health field, I bring a comprehensive understanding of psychosocial needs and have worked in all levels of care including acute care hospitals, inpatient psychiatric treatment facilities, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient treatment centers. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to improve their quality of life. Together, we will identify your challenges and goals and identify options and strategies you can use to get there.
I specialize in making people feel comfortable, safe, and validated.

I was looking for someone who had specialties inclusive of my concerns, especially the ADHD and the evolving memory issues. I found Dr. DeAngelis to be intelligent, friendly and non-judgemental. My daughter came over to the house unexpectedly and heard a portion of our conversation. She is now looking for a clinician and liked what she heard. She made contact her.
