I provide compassionate, holistic mental health care for individuals across the lifespan, from children and adolescents to adults and older adults. With 19 years of experience, my clinical practice focus is on medication management and understanding the whole person, not just treating the symptoms. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, work-related stress, workers' compensation issues, identity challenges, or trauma, you do not have to face these difficulties alone. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, work-related stress, workers' compensation issues, identity challenges, or trauma, you do not have to face these difficulties alone. As an immigrant myself, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to the mental health challenges that can arise from cultural transitions, family expectations, identity development, and the immigrant experience. I strive to create a space where clients from diverse backgrounds feel seen, understood, and supported. Let’s have a conversation to discuss how we can work together toward effective, personalized solutions to ease your pain.

With 19 years of clinical experience, I have worked in a variety of settings, including telehealth, inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), primary care, rehabilitation facilities, and skilled nursing homes.

I completed my DNP program at the University of San Francisco and am dual board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC. I have worked in a variety of settings, including telehealth, inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), primary care, rehabilitation facilities, and skilled nursing homes as well as with the Court referred clients for Mental Health Diversion Program.

Origin story

What inspired me to become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner was my passion for helping people through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. I have always believed that mental health is just as important as physical health, yet many people struggle in silence because of stigma, fear, or limited access to care. I wanted to pursue this specialty because I recognize how deeply mental health affects a person's relationships, daily functioning, and overall quality of life. I want to be a provider who listens without judgment, advocates for patients, and creates a safe space where individuals feel heard, respected, and understood. Becoming a PMHNP will allow me to combine my nursing background with advanced knowledge of mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management. Most importantly, I want to help patients find hope, develop healthy coping strategies, and regain a sense of control over their lives. For me, this career is more than a professional goal; it is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives and help break the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I will use CBT to help you recognize your distressing thoughts and evaluate how realistic these thoughts are. Most importantly, guide you on how to find solutions to your problems, learn new skills, setting and achieving meaningful goals. As time goes on you will be able to evaluate and manage any life challenges using your learned skills.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness therapy is used to teach how to observe your present thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations without judgment. By been in the moment, helping you break away from negative thought loops and better manage stress, anxiety, and emotional reactivity.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Culturally sensitive therapy is an approach to acknowledge and respect your unique cultural, ethnicity, religious, and social background, in other words I will provide patient center care that is unique and tailored to your believes system only.

I was very nervous with her my first session. She reminded me that I needed to relax and sit still. So we could work through what is going on with me. I feel like I need to work on not having my head space all over the place. And she’s good at getting to the bottom of things. I’m looking forward to continue working with her.

I appreciate how direct she was in a positive way. She was with patient and didn't shoot me down. She was helpful and really made me feel like she was my teammate instead of boss.
