My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a client-centered counseling approach that helps individuals explore and resolve ambivalence, ultimately enhancing their motivation and commitment to change. A core principle of MI is recognizing that people often have mixed feelings about change, and the goal is to help them explore and resolve these conflicting thoughts.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy that focuses on the present and aims to help individuals develop coping strategies and address current problems. CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that negative or unhelpful thinking patterns can lead to emotional distress and behavioral problems.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Culturally sensitive therapy is an approach to psychotherapy that prioritizes understanding and respecting a client's cultural background and beliefs, aiming to provide the most effective and relevant treatment. We specialize in supporting BIPOC women who struggle with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem stemming from unresolved trauma.
