I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you will be truly heard and supported. My extensive experience across a broad diagnostic spectrum, will provide the clinical expertise necessary to support a wide range of needs. So if you're ready to embrace change, together we will do the work. In return for your commitment to the process, I'll provide the tools and clinical expertise to help you move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling emotionally regulated and balanced.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session we will go over confidentiality, exceptions to confidentiality as a mandated reporter, review consents signed, scheduling cancelations and fees. I'll answer any questions you may have for me and begin building a therapeutic relationship. At the beginning we will also work together to identify your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With 26 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist, I have dedicated my career to mastering the balance between understanding scientific research and human connection. My practice is rooted in providing a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel truly heard. I've learned to use a wide range of treatment modalities based on the client's mood and allow the client to lead the session. I offer therapy fluently in English and Spanish and help my client's navigate their most difficult challenges to reach a place of lasting emotional regulation.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am most passionate about working with adolescents, young adults and their families who are ready to move beyond symptom management and work toward true emotional wellness. My ideal client will be committed to the therapeutic journey, will challenge long standing dysfunctional patterns, and will be open to learning and applying new coping skills between sessions. I'm ready to listen and not judge, if you're ready to put in the work.

My treatment methods

EMDR

As a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) clinician I use EMDR to help clients process trauma in a time-efficient way allowing for healthier academic, social and overall functioning. EMDR is used for a range of diagnosis such as anxiety, depression, PTSD and panic attacks that can stem from both trauma and a high pressure environment.

Psychoanalytic

I feel to understand the root of a problem and/or the development of a diagnosis sometimes it's necessary to explore one's childhood and unconscious patterns. If psychoanalysis is used, the client will learn to better understand why they may feel or act in certain ways thus prioritizing insight and self discovery.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a well structured treatment method I use to manage immediate stressors while teaching the client how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all connected. By using CBT I help the client identify their thoughts and behaviors at the moment and support the client in identifying and replacing cognitive distortions with realistic thoughts.
