First session

In our first session together, we will start with introductions and a review of policies and procedures. Next, I will ask the reason you are seeking therapy at this time. I may administer a questionnaire to assess your symptoms and functioning. I will also ask a lot of questions about your life, gaining history and background will help me get an understanding of your life circumstances. Please schedule a 15 minute consult before scheduling your intake so that we can see if we will be a good fit for one another.

Strengths

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to build rapport, I am a genuine person that's easy to talk to. In my years of experience as a social worker I have honed my assessment skills to discover the underlying meaning or causes of things. I am comfortable supporting clients from the LGBTQ+ community.

Ideal clients

I love working with people who may be struggling to find meaning or direction in their lives. Those who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, isolation and trouble navigating personal relationships. I find meaning in supporting clients who are committed to the work, those who are open to new perspectives and learning new things. People who show up authentically and those who can enjoy and appreciate a good laugh. Laughter is medicine for the soul.
