Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker based in PA. I received my MSW from Temple University(go Owls) and have practiced in diverse settings for 21 years. I love what I do and I love being on the journey with my clients to achieve whatever their goals may be. I strive to provide a safe environment for my clients where they can be their authentic selves with no judgment, agenda, or criticism. We are all worthy of self-care and however it looks for each individual.
I do not come in with a plan during the first session(sorry). I want to get to know you and you get to know me. My only initial agenda is to make you comfortable with sharing as much or as little at that moment. Seeking therapy is a huge self-rewarding step and I like to remind my clients of that when we meet.
I believe my open-minded thinking and past experiences help my clients in seeing their strengths.
My why to this treatment: The strength-based approach has its foundation in social work and builds upon the client’s strengths, specifically seeing the client as resourceful and resilient when they are in adverse conditions
My why: Integrative therapy is an individualized, holistic approach to therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic schools of thought depending on the unique needs of a given client.
My why: CBT aims to teach people that it is possible to have control over your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. CBT helps you to challenge and overcome automatic beliefs, and use practical strategies to change or modify your behaviour.
