I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the State of Maryland. I obtained my Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Coppin State University in 2020. In 2015, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Baltimore in Human Services Administration. I have a heart for helping others, passionate about helping adolescents, adults, couples, and families find their strengths to bring about change through a variety of evidence based theoretical approaches. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. Furthermore, I take pride in providing a safe and comfortable space to foster growth in a collaborative environment that is nonjudgmental to reflect, heal and rejuvenate.
During your first visit, we will work together to identify past and current experiences that are impacting various aspects of your life, such as work, school, relationships, friendships as well as physical and mental health. We will develop a plan tailored to your individual needs and work towards your goals together, at your comfort level. Your therapy sessions will be a supportive and collaborative space for healing and growth. I create a safe and supportive environment for every client. My style of therapy is down to earth with a touch of humor. I believe in taking a loving, supportive & collaborative approach. I use a strength based approach to help you identify what’s inside of you to become the best version of yourself.
My work focuses on identifying unhealthy thought patterns and mental blocks. My work also involves teaching skills to assist you with improving communication, building confidence and forming healthy relationships.
I specialize in treating clients who suffer with Depression, Bipolar, Anxiety, and PTSD. I use an integrative psychodynamic approach, of evidenced based interventions, which are tailored to each client’s unique needs and include techniques from Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-focused techniques. I believe that the counseling environment allows the client to actively participate in self-discovery, in a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental space.
