My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I have found one of the strengths of CBT to be its ability to empower clients by providing them with tools to reframe negative or unhelpful thoughts into more constructive beliefs, leading to positive changes in their emotional and behavioral responses.

Strength-Based

I find it important to use strength-based approaches in my practice as they help clients focus on resilience, resourcefulness, and the skills they already possess. It encourages clients to recognize their own capabilities and increases their confidence in handling life's difficulties. By building on what they do well, clients can develop a more positive and proactive mindset, which can be transformative in managing stress and challenges.

Eclectic

I believe in meeting clients where they are, recognizing them as the experts of their own lives. An eclectic approach to therapy enables me to draw from various techniques and treatment methods, tailoring the approach to best fit each client’s unique needs.

Trauma Informed Care

I incorporate trauma informed care into my practices by establishing a judgement-free, safe environment for clients to explore how exposure to trauma has impacted their lives, which allows clients the space and opportunity to begin their healing journey.
