About me

Hello! My name is Mallory Christman and I am a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and Delaware. I graduated with my doctorate in clinical psychology in 2023 from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. My research, training, and career thus far has been dedicated to the cross section between mental and physical health. I am passionate about helping patients and/or caregivers cope with chronic health conditions through compassion, evidence-based techniques, and a little humor.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first therapy session can be nerve wracking...for the both of us! My goal in the initial session is for us to start to build a therapeutic relationship and see if this will be a good fit. If we click, we can start to work on goals and make sure we are aligned in our future work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

During my training, I challenged myself to get a wide range of experiences. I have worked in traditional outpatient settings all the way to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization settings. I believe all of my experiences have led me to be a well-rounded provider and a provider who continues to learn and work to provide the best care for my clients, no matter the setting I am currently in!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is motivated and engaged in the therapeutic process. I have an expertise in the health psychology field, so I tend to gravitate towards individuals who are trying to manage chronic medical conditions. However, I am also open to other concerns; I truly believe it's about the right fit in the relationship!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I was primarily trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy in my masters and doctoral training; therefore, I frequently use this evidence-based modality in my work. I also pull from modalities such as acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavior therapy to best meet the needs of my clients!
