Hi there! My name is Kristina Tu. I am a License Marriage Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience working with individuals who have experience trauma, anxiety, family issues, relationship issues, eating disorders, depression, low self-esteem, and self-doubt. As a therapist, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for healing, and self-exploration. I use a collaborative approach with my clients and help them navigate through phases in their life that maybe confusing and challenging. When we are unable to process challenges in our lives, we can feel like we have lost our sense of direction and become stuck in unhealthy patterns. Our time together is your time to focus on yourself, feel your feelings, and process them. I want to empower you in your journey.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming and scary. During our first session, I want to make sure we both feel comfortable and are a good match. I want to learn more about you, your symptoms, goals, and expectations of therapy. Together, we will identify your challenges and goals. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. My goal is to help you feel empowered in and out of our time together throughout your journey.
My focus is to help individuals heal, empower, and become aware of their inner strengths. I use evidenced based therapeutic techniques to help my client's grow from their struggles and move towards the life they want to live.
My client's often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious. My clients often they are ready to improve their lives, but don't know where to start or often don't have the tools needed to make this goal a reality.
I see individuals as a whole and believe everyone has potential to live their full lives.
My goal is to help my clients overcome their challenges and feel empowered through a compassionate and empathetic approach.
I teach my client's ACT coping skills when they are feeling overwhelmed and anxious.
