The blend of strategies, methods and techniques often synergise into results that can be quicker and more powerful than many expect because of the whole brain - conscious and subconscious work that we can utilize by several techniques and methods. The mind-body connection via treatment is another powerful tool I use in counseling. Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This treatment allows a client to help sort out thoughts, feelings and actions in a factual and rational way - which is very helpful when emotions and stress/worry affect clear thinking and decisions.

Psychoeducation

This method allows for us to both teach and understand your feelings , mood and emotions in a clear understandable way - which allows direct ways to improve your thoughts, feelings and emotions in a direct and effective way.

Psychodynamic

Many times behavior and mood patterns are developed in early life via family and environmental dynamics that carry over throughout life. When those dynamic forming thought and behavioral patterns are not helpful or no longer pertinent to your current stage in life. This treatment helps identify them and how to re-structure for improved and healthier thinking and behavioral patterns.

Hypnotherapy

Where appropriate - hypnosis can be very effective for two main areas:1. Habit Control. 2.Helping Anxiety related conditions such as phobias, fears, performance at work, sports and life in general. When combined with above listed therapy modalities - positive changes extend beyond improved habits and performance - it can vastly contribute to you becoming your " best self."

Mind-body approach

A relatively new - but very effective technique that can augment your counseling is called Emotional Freedom Technique. (EFT), or "Tapping." By identifying stuck feelings and emotions that are creating emotional blocks that lead to various symptoms associated with stress, anxiety, phobias, etc. we can help you get them "un-stuck" and emotional relief follows and a lessening of both symptoms and discomfort begins. You will learn where to "tap" with your own fingers on energy points in the body to begin the process.
