Hi, I am Dr. Ekong, a board certified Family Mental Health Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a Doctorate degree from UMASS. I have been helping my clients who are experiencing mental instability find a balance and enjoy life again. I have been worked with the Veterans for more than 2 years and can say that, I have been making a marked improvement in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first appointment, we will get to know ourselves through a brief introduction and then move on to find out the problem that you are facing. This will help me to develop a plan that will help us to make you feel better and plan for follow-up appointments

I am passionate about helping young adults, women and men who are experiencing mental instability find a balance and help themselves back to wellness through a person centered care platform.

I love working with clients that are experiencing mood disorders find a balance with their feelings. Clients with Depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, personality disorder and eating disorder, can all benefit from my expertise in these areas.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I am a culturally competent mental health care provider, who is culturally sensitive to our care environment that is vastly and increasingly diverse in population. Developing a good care plan and intervention requires a good knowledge of these diverse culture for a better understanding of my clients problems and a better insights on getting a better care outcome for them.

Compassion Focused

The Compassion Focused treatment method is very important in helping to know my patient in order to establish a good rapport with them, that will enable me develop a person centered care plan for a better care outcome. As a provider it helps me to be compassionate and to accept my client as they are and help them to not be too critical of themselves in their way to recovery.
