Hello my name is Amy! I have been a mental health therapist for about 8 years. My clients would most likely describe me as empathetic, open minded, and authentic. I have worked with many different people from diverse cultural backgrounds. I provide English and Spanish telehealth therapy services in California. Just because we have been going through life in survival mode does not mean we should continue to have to. Seeking help is not always easy, especially when we are feeling uncertain, lost, or defeated. At times, people need some extra support to process things with, manage difficult emotions, and be comfortable in our own skin. My role as a therapist is to listen, guide, and to help you navigate through life’s challenges. My goal is to teach you healthy coping skills that will enhance current, new and past relationships. Therapy is a collaborative journey to help you move forward. I believe that the relationship we build together will create a supportive and safe place to be yourself and dive into your true healing. One of my specialties is helping clients feel understood and supported.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session always looks a little bit different than future ones. I'll walk you through the therapeutic process, review confidentiality, and consent. We will take some time to get to know each other and explore what has brought you into therapy and questions regarding your background, relationships, challenges, and your goals for therapy. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, heard, and seen.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My biggest strength as a therapist is my ability to keep it real with you while providing a compassionate and supportive space to be the real and authentic you. I meet my clients where they are at and respect the pace they would like to take on the therapy journey. I care deeply about my clients and feel honored to be able to be part of their journey in finding their authentic selves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individuals who are navigating struggles with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions (college, break ups, parenthood), family related issues, and relationship issues. I enjoy working with individuals who want to get a better grasp at how to handle difficult moments and experiences life throws at us. I truly believe we all have the capacity to grow and work through life challenges to become our authentic selves.
