Welcome! I’m Pedro Félix, and my goal is to help you find more peace, clarity, and connection in your life. I received my education at San Francisco State University, UC Berkeley, and Sofia University, and I bring more than 20 years of experience in community mental health and social services. I integrate traditional psychotherapy with transpersonal psychology, mindfulness, and a whole-person approach to help you ease emotional distress, navigate relationships and life transitions, and explore deeper meaning and purpose.

I am Pedro Felix and I help people with busy minds find inner peace. I received my education at SF State, UC Berkeley, and Sofia University, and for more than 20 years, I have worked in community mental health and social services settings.

I specialize in working with adults, particularly LGBTQ+, ADHD, Latinx, Spanish-speaking, and other people of color. Together, we can heal wounds from the past, navigate the challenges of the present, and move toward the future with greater confidence and clarity. If you are seeking not only change, but meaningful transformation, I would be honored to work with you.

First session

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, patterns, strengths, and goals, while focusing on what feels most important to you. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable. You can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer sense of your needs, your goals, and how we can move forward together.

Strengths

My greatest strengths are building trusting relationships, genuinely caring about my clients’ well-being, and bringing warmth and authenticity into the therapy room. I want you to benefit the most from your therapy experience. I strive to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and supported as you work toward meaningful change. My approach is individualized, culturally responsive, and inclusive. I draw from mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction, adapting our sessions to your unique needs, identity, values, and goals. What distinguishes my approach is the balance between practical tools and deeper exploration. We can work to relieve immediate distress while also developing greater self-understanding, clarity, purpose, and alignment. Clients often share that our work has helped them feel more confident, grounded, and at peace—and empowered them to create meaningful, lasting change.

Ideal clients

I work best with adults who want to understand themselves more deeply and create meaningful change in their lives. Many are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, or concerns related to identity, relationships, and life direction. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, while longing for greater clarity, purpose, and inner peace. Others may be exploring spirituality and seeking support in integrating new insights into their everyday lives. I especially welcome LGBTQ+, Latinx, Spanish-speaking, and other people of color, as well as anyone seeking a culturally responsive and affirming space. My ideal clients are curious about not only what they are experiencing, but also why. They are open to honest reflection, new perspectives, and taking meaningful steps toward a more grounded and authentic life.

Treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness to help clients increase present-moment awareness, reduce reactivity, and develop a more grounded, compassionate relationship with their thoughts and emotions.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients accept difficult internal experiences, clarify their values, and take meaningful action toward a more aligned and fulfilling life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build practical coping skills, and improve emotional regulation and daily functioning.

Transpersonal

I use a transpersonal approach to explore deeper questions of meaning, identity, and connection, supporting you in understanding yourself beyond symptoms and navigating personal growth and transformation.
