I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 10 years of experience in the field of mental health. At Beton Cire Mental Care, I provide comprehensive medication management and evidence-based psychiatric care for adults aged 18 and older. My clinical focus includes the evaluation and treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and other mood-related conditions. I am committed to delivering patient-centered care that integrates clinical expertise with compassion and respect for each individual’s unique needs and goals.

What sets my approach apart is my focus on building strong therapeutic relationships and taking the time to understand the whole person, not just their symptoms.

Through a collaborative approach, I work with patients to develop effective treatment plans that promote emotional stability, functional improvement, and overall well-being. My approach to care is compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based. I believe in fostering a collaborative partnership with my clients one built on trust, respect, and open communication.

First session

During your first session , my priority is to create a comfortable and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and supported. The initial visit is focused on getting to know you, your personal history, current symptoms, past treatments, and overall goals for care. We will conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that explores biological, psychological, and social factors contributing to your mental health. This includes a detailed review of your medical and mental health history, current medications, and lifestyle factors. Together, we will discuss potential diagnoses, treatment options, and medication plans if appropriate. I will explain every step clearly, answer all your questions, and ensure you understand the treatment process. My goal is for you to leave your first session with a better understanding of your mental health and a sense of direction toward achieving stability and wellness.

Strengths

My greatest strength lies in my ability to combine clinical expertise with genuine compassion and understanding. With over a decade of experience in diverse psychiatric settings including hospitals, correctional facilities, and outpatient care—I bring a comprehensive and adaptable perspective to each client’s treatment. What sets my approach apart is my focus on building strong therapeutic relationships and taking the time to understand the whole person, not just their symptoms. I use a collaborative, evidence-based approach that empowers clients to take an active role in their care, ensuring treatment plans are tailored to their unique needs and goals. Clients often share that they feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their treatment. I take pride in helping individuals achieve lasting improvement in their mood, stability, and overall quality of life through compassionate care and consistent follow-up.

Ideal clients

I am best positioned to serve adults aged 18 and older who are experiencing challenges with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mood-related conditions. Many of my clients seek care when they are feeling emotionally overwhelmed, struggling to manage daily stressors, or finding it difficult to maintain balance in their personal or professional lives. I work well with individuals who are open to collaboration and want to take an active role in their treatment. Whether a client is beginning psychiatric care for the first time or continuing long-term medication management, I provide guidance, education, and consistent support throughout the process. My goal is to help clients achieve emotional stability, improved functioning, and a greater sense of control and confidence in their mental health journey. My ultimate goal is to help you achieve long-term stability, resilience, and confidence in managing your mental health. Whether you’re seeking relief from symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or another mood condition, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered to take positive steps forward.
