After working in a community mental health clinic for 12 years, the year 2020 changed the course of my career. For the last 4 years I have been working in private practice and meeting people that still today are being impacted by the changes we have faced in just these few short years. Since the COVID-19 pandemic had such an enormous impact on how we lived our daily lives, many of the underlying mental health issues that were present prior to the pandemic, have now risen to the surface and been causing all sorts of havoc. If you are experiencing increased anxiety, depression, struggling with financial hardship, substance abuse or coping with past trauma, therapy is a place to start on the road to learning to cope with this life we are given and this situation we have been forced to persevere through. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and complex trauma. I also have experience working with sexual assault, childhood trauma and emotional abuse. My counseling style is warm and direct.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the initial session, we will get to know each other and I will collect more information on what you need from the therapy process as well as what some of your goals might be for therapy at this time.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am quite blunt as a therapist. I am a great listener, but I will also offer direct and honest feedback, as we work together, to get you closer to the version of yourself that you want to be. You will know that I am listening and you will know that I care.
