Alex Huss

Hey there, I'm Alex (she/her). I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) in Maryland who focuses on work with women and nonbinary identifying individuals. I have worked with clients with concerns ranging from anxiety, depression, sexual assault, trauma, isolation, perfectionism, LGTBQIAA+ concerns, grief, relationship struggles, to life transition challenges. My passion as a clinician is to create a space where you feel safe and valued in vulnerability.

It is not only my work but my passion and joy to partner with clients in building insight and connecting trauma or learned behaviors to current needs or functioning.

Social justice, and honoring each persons individual journey and struggle is very important to me and is incorporated deeply into my work. In an ever changing world and often troubling political landscape, it's natural to struggle with identity. I seek to provide a safe haven for asking larger life questions and coping with societal struggles. Acknowledging the need for more support is a big deal, and I would be honored to assist in that journey. I believe sessions can be holy ground for support, self-awareness, and growth.
